Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit Logo

Versa 2 stopped working on May 8th with a dark screen. I thought the battery had run out so I connected it to the charger. After a few hours I saw the Versa 2 was showing the logo and pushed the button to turn it on, but... nothing happened. No error message, no vibration, nothing.

Tried restarting the Versa 2 by pressing the button for 8-10 seconds: still, only shows the logo

Tried a hard reset by pressing the button for 10 seconds and then releasing the button for less than 2 seconds and then pressing it again: still, the Versa 2 only shows the logo.

What happened to the watch? More importantly, how can I fix this? The latest firmware update is on the watch.

Hi there, @Woodstock67. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

If you haven't done so yet, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Good afternoon,

I followed the steps you laid out:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your Fitbit account and unpair it from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

I could not set up the Versa because BlueTooth could not create a connection to the watch. The watch still only shows only the logo (see the picture).

Is there any way to force the watch to boot and see what is happening? Or to get any kind of error message?
