Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit Logo

My Versa2 was working fine until last Sunday (August 7th).  I knew I had over 50% battery life at the start of the day and by noon it had shut off completely.

I was able to charge it overnight and when I put it on, it was stuck on the Logo screen.

I tried running the update on the App, but can't get the Fitbit to connect with the app.  Now it's stuck on the Logo screen and is randomly turning off and on.  I've tried doing the reset using the side button, but it does nothing, I can't get a factory/hard reset, I can't get it to connect to the app, I can't get to bluetooth or wifi.

How do I fix this if I can't turn it off or restart it?  Please help, I'm lost without the fitbit and don't have the funds right now to replace it.

Hi there, @Humber13. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2 and trying to troubleshoot it before posting here. I understand how you must be feeling.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for your help!

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having difficulties to update your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

Hello @Humber13

I understand your Versa 2 is stuck on the Fitbit Logo and your unable to restart it. Because your very 2 can’t connect to the Fitbit App because of Bluetooth issues we can try setting your Versa 2 up again as a new device. You won’t lose any data settings it back up again because it is stored on the Fitbit servers. But you will lose anything that occurred after the last successful sync.

To set up your Versa 2 again as a new device please follow these instructions carefully:

  1. On your phone, tap Settings > Bluetooth > then tap information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device if your on an iOS device or tap unpair if your on an Android device. If your Versa 2 doesn’t appear in your Bluetooth at all no worries just go to the next step.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  3. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  4. Log out of the Fitbit App then force shut the Fitbit app by swiping it upwards
  5. Restart your phone.
  6. Restart your Fitbit if your able too:  https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm
  7. Log back into the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up a Device.
  8. Choose Versa 2 from the list and follow the onscreen instructions. When asked if you want to replace your previous Versa 2 say yes.

🤞😃 I’m hopeful this will get you back up and running again. Please come back and tell me how it went
