Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit Logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My watch is completely charged. Last night I was setting my alarm and when trying to get back to the home screen the watch turned off. The fitbit logo would flash every few seconds but not turn on. Now the screen is completely black and will not turn on no matter how long I hold the button down. I tried pressing the button numerous times and then holding it down and that did not work. I put the watch back on the charger for 2 hours and tried again. Still a black screen and will not turn on. Please help!

Hi @Kristykurd It sounds as if your Versa 2 has died. Your only options to contact Fitbit Support   and see if they can help.

Hi there, @Kristykurd. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't work, please follow @NellyG's advice and get in touch with our Support Team for further assistance.

Hope that helps.

I have the same problem but never did a reset, I don't even know HOW to do a reset. An actual helpful answer other than this automated reply to every question would help.

I can't imagine how we could do anything if the watch won't turn on. I even tried force stopping the app and shutting down my phone. (It was something I found online). That also didn't help.

I can't get my watch to even turn on.

Same! It's completely dead, yet it was at 100% just before it died.

My Versa 2 just went black (only used 1 year) ! It will not charge I've done all the steps, and am really sick of this. 😞 This is my 7th Fitbit in 5 years. Several of my friends have quit on Fitbit's products the price/quality doesn't seem to be matching up. This might be my last Fitbit

Good to know! I won't be sticking with the brand in that case! Good luck!

I finally spoke with someone and was told there was nothing they could do. They did give me a 35% discount for a new one. I had my versa since 2019 and the fitbit blaze before that since 2014.  I actually gave the blaze to a friend and it is still working. I'm sticking with fitbit for now. According to reviews of other watches, nothing beats the battery life of a fitbit. Good luck!
