Hi @JeffWest - try changing the clock face in the Fitbit App Gallery tile and syncing the watch.
If you get the chance try a standard restart How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Or after a sync, if you can get to watch Settings, About menu, do a Shutdown. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.

Hi there, @JeffWest. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.
As @Guy_ has recommended, if you haven't done so yet, please restart your Versa 3 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Thank you for the tip, @MarreFitbit. I have changed my clock face, but still cannot swipe to get my apps or notifications. I cannot do a shutdown as @Guy_ recommends, because I cannot access Settings.
Two new developments: The battery is no longer holding its charge. I recharged it yesterday and had to recharge it again this morning.
And the last time I held the button in for a few seconds, the display flashed green (looking a bit like the opening of "The Matrix") before the logo appeared.
What should I try next?

This EXACT thing happened with my versa 2 this week!!! but as of today, it won’t even turn on anymore. When it’s on the charger, it just keeps getting warmer but won’t turn on or respond in any way. I’m so upset. It was working perfectly up until this past week. I’m guessing it’s just done now but if you’ve had any luck with yours, please share 🙏

@JeffWest- if the battery charge is not lasting, and the watch is behaving strangely, it may have internal damage from water too.
Check the back sensor windows with a magnifying glass for condensation to confirm.
At least follow the instructions fully for the restart as a first step How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Thank you for your reply! I definitely take it off the charger right away.
I’ll check for condensation! The only time my fitbit gets wet is when I wash my hands but I always dry it off as I’m drying my hands and make sure the back is dried off too by the sensors. I don't even shower with it on. Since it's supposed to be water resistant and I'm drying it off after hand washing, any ideas on how it would have gotten internal water damage? Did I just not dry it thoroughly enough?? I don’t understand why this happened out of the blue

Hi @morcas. I contacted Fitbit customer service through the chat option. After listing what was wrong with my tracker the representative immediately said they would check my warranty and get back to me through email. He didn't even offer troubleshooting options. 😂
The warranty on my tracker expired long ago. As I expected, I was offered a decent discount to order a replacement, which I will be doing. This is what happened the last time a tracker stopped functioning. My new tracker will be my fourth Fitbit device in less than three years. I do like this product, but I wish they lasted longer.
I will check my tracker for evidence of water damage, as I always wore in the shower. But it was supposed to be water resistant. I do neck and shoulder stretches in the shower, so I used the tracker as a timer. Maybe I will take the next one off before I shower.

@JeffWest Thanks so much for following up on this. They offered me a discount to replace my last device as well so that’s pretty much what I’m expecting with this too. Ugh I agree, I hate that they don’t last longer for the price. I see that the average lifespan is 2 years, which I guess is about the time mine has lasted. Still very disappointing. I like the battery life of the fitbit compared to the apple watch, which has kept me from switching earlier, I’m going to have to figure out what I want to do this time
EDIT: I actually spoke a bit too soon, it looks like they’re replacing my device. I’m not 100% sure why mine is eligible to be replaced but they asked me a ton of questions and had me send pictures of the device, charging cable, and adapter with the logos visible. I’m definitely happy with their customer service in this situation though.
