Stuck on fitbit logo.

Can't do a factory restart as it doesn't work.

Charge battery to 100% but within an hour it is totally flat.

Help!

Hi there, @KKlein77. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out.

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having issues updating your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

My Versa 2 is also stuck on logo. It has the original clock face and all settings at minimal so as not to drain the battery. At last sync the battery was at 51%. I charged it when I noticed the blank screen then the logo appeared. Loyal Fitbit user since 2015. Instead of RunRozRun I am now DoneRozDone.
Apple Watch here I come. ✌️

Thanks.
The recommended steps did not work because the Fitbit will not shut off.
The logo continues to flash.
😞
Thanks for your help.

@RunRozRun Anytime! I understand how you must be feeling.

As our last resort, I'd suggest performing a restart by following the steps below (please remove your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth before performing this step):

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Thank you again.
I have taken all of those steps several times.
The device will not shut off. I will just let the battery die.
Ironically, I kept my old Versa that suddenly stopped working 2 years ago after a firmware update. I charged it last night and it is working. So I will use it for now and maybe when a new update becomes available the Versa 2 will come alive again. 🤷🏾‍:female_sign:
