Versa 2 stuck on Fitbit logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just noticed my Fitbit was showing the logo. I assumed it just randomly crashed, but it keeps continuously turning off, on, showing the logo a couple of seconds, and off again, repeat. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I tried going to the support page, but it no longer exists.

Edit: it just showed green bars on the screen and the logo got kinda dim and flickering with occasional green stripe across the screen. It eventually showed the no battery left even though I charged it less than 20 hours ago. Put it to the charger and it continues to bootloop.

Hi there, @KevinSW. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 2.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.
  • Once your Versa 2 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

If you've read my post you would know I cannot pair the Versa 2 as it is stuck in a bootloop. Currently it is not doing anything at all anymore. Just a black screen. If I presd the button shortly, nothing happens. If I hold the button 10+ seconds, nothing happens. It does feel warm so I assume it did get charged. So what do I do now?

I'll try the suggestion either way. But I doubt I'm gonna be able to pair a device that won't even turn on. Unless fitbit pairs before the device is fully booted.

Hi @MarreFitbit, as expected I get stuck at step "Set up your Versa 2." because it refuses to boot, let alone restart. What do I do?

@KevinSW Thanks for getting back and the update.

As our last resort, I'd recommend trying another factory reset by following the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

With the above being said, I'd suggest syncing your Versa 2 and removing it from your phone's Bluetooth settings, then proceed with the Factory Reset.

@MarreFitbit as I've said, nothing happens if I keep the button pressed for 10 seconds, so nothing will happen at 8. Nothing happens at 30 seconds either. What can I do now?

Hey there! I am having the exact same issues as you, after searching it seems like this is very common occurrence and they are all happening today! I spoke with support and just like you I tried to tell them I am not able to do anything as the logo comes and goes intermittently. Seems strange that everyone is having the same problem.

Same issue here. Started today. I have tried everything that was suggested and nothing.

Bonjour,

j'ai le même problème - bizarre que ce soit tout le monde en même temps sur le même modèle?

Best Answer

Me too. Same problem. Started yesterday.

Mine is doing this as well today. None of the above steps work.

Hello @MarreFitbit. I am receiving an email from fitbit asking me if I got the answer I needed and to mark a best answer, but none of us have gotten a helpful answer yet. Could you please help us fix our problem?

Hi @Jenstar895 unfortunately, no. Support page does not exist, and mods here are a bit slow now.. Kinda suspicious so many people are facing the exact same issue.

Having this same issue. Reassuring it seems to be a universal thing that's happened in the last few days. I have emailed support so hopefully one of us will get a response that is actually helpful from fitbit!

Perhaps someone could take a look at this issue and help us fix our Fitbits? Mine does not boot at all anymore and according to EU regulations technology should work an expected amount of time and is thus eligible for repair outside of factory warranty. 3 years for a smartwatch/smartphone is way too short to expect such an expensive product to be broken. So please, help us.

Mine is doing the same thing. I’ve tried everything and nothing is working. My Fitbit has been glitching all day too, then when I got home from work, I noticed the Fitbit logo. Fitbit need to sort it out.

Hello Kevin. My fitbit versa 3 is only showing logo. I held it for 12 seconds and all it did was go blank and reboot the logo only again. Is yours working now?

Best Answer

I have not moved my account to Google; could that be related to the problem? Prior to the Fitbit logo problem, I have been unable to scroll my watch screen up/down or left/right for at least a week.

I think what we're experiencing here is planned obsolescence. I called support and they had very little interest in helping. Simply offered a 35% discount on a new one. No thanks.
