Versa 2 unresponsive during firmware update

I have a Versa 2, and it said there is an update available. So I tried to update, and when I put my Fitbit on the charger, as it told me to do, it was dead.  It said that it was looking for a Wifi connection and couldn’t find it.  My phone is hooked up to the WiFi, my Fitbit was working fine until then.  I cannot use my Fitbit  and I don’t know how to “connect it to the Wifi”.  Please help me.

Hi @6120fairbanks  if you can, please return and edit your post to remove your personal contact information. Customer support won't call you and this is a public forum where anyone can view posts. First, charge your Versa 2 and then make sure your phone is on and has internet connection.

Since I tried to update my Fitbit App on my phone my watch is blank. I followed the instructions  carefully and my watch is blank. I need my watch for my heartbeat rate so please respond
