Took my watch (versa 2) off yesterday to charge. Was at 4%. It went up to 9% and now it will not do anything. Screen shows big X and says data not cleared, sync and try again. But it wont sync. I have tried all the troubleshoot problems and nothing. Ive only had this for 2 months and absolutely love it, so quite upset.

Hi there, @Gerke1974. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not charging. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this! @RiekoC Thank you so much for your help and for moving the post to the correct board.

Please note that there are some issues that affect this, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. If you are charging your Versa 2 on the wall socket, try using another CE certified USB adapter for low energy devices.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend following the tips and recommendations provided here Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Regarding the message you are seeing on your Versa 2's screen, please note the message "Data not cleared, Sync & Try again" usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, please confirm if you've followed the steps below to solve this issue:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hello @Gerke1974

I moved your post from the Android platform forum to the Versa product help forum since charging issues are usually from the device and not the Fitbit app.

This help page has the recommended troubleshooting steps to try: Why isn't my Fitbit's battery charging (<-- click link).

If the troubleshooting steps don't help, hopefully another Versa 2 user will be able to help you.
