My versa 2 ran out of battery in the middle of the night and I have had it in the charger since 11:00 this morning. Whenever I try to interact with it a red checkmark over an empty battery shows on the screen. I've made sure that everything on the watch and charger is unobstructed and the charger works fine.

Hi @CHDW, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Regarding the charging issue that your Versa 2 has experienced, I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours again and see if it comes back to life.
Keep me posted on the outcome.
I kept it plugged in for about 7 and finally, it says that it has a charge. However, this charge has remained at 2% for around 3 hours. The screen shows that it's being charged but it won't go any higher than 2%.

However, it seems like you haven't yet tried the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article shared by @JuanJoFitbit in the post above as you mentioned to only have kept the watch plugged for 7 hours.
