Versa 2 won't charge

I'm thinking my daughter's Versa 2 has died. It seems to have stopped working a couple of weeks ago, but I want to get it back up and working.

We have tried charging it, tried restarting it, tried different clock faces, to no avail. While restarting, nothing happens. The Fitbit logo never comes on after holding the button for well over 10 seconds. While it gets placed in the cradle to charge, the screen will turn a light green after a few seconds and sometimes flickers a little and it turns back to black eventually. Tried changing the clock face as others suggested, but doesn't seem to be able to connect with the Fitbit, so that doesn't work at all. Tried logging out of the phone app, and relogging back in. Nothing. It can't seem to connect to wifi at all since it's not searchable. I'm just not sure what, if anything, can be done. Am I pretty much SOL? She's had it for 2 years. I'm wondering if that's the life span of this expensive watch. Really frustrated as I've had good luck with all my previous Fitbit watches, which is why I got her one. Are there any tried and true secrets out there that will fix this??? Is there a little battery in there that can be replaced at all?

Was there any resolution through tech support, or are you out of luck?  I've tried everything you have, but my screen remains black even when on charger. My versa 2 is about 2 years old as well.

Thanks!

Nope. Communicated with someone through chat and they only told me to try everything I’d already tried. Extremely annoying. If I could take it apart and figure out the issue, I totally would. It makes no sense to me that they only last a couple of years!
