Hello @Doerger and welcome to the Community. Debris can accumulate on the charging contacts. Fitbit recommends cleaning the back of the Fitbit with a soft toothbrush and water, then dry it with a soft cloth. Don't use a metal brush as it can damage the contacts. Carefully, and I mean CAREFULLY, clean around the charge contacts with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. Be very, very careful, so you don't push in a pin. If you push in a pin, the charger will need to be replaced.
