Versa 2 won’t swipe

I can see the home screen on my Versa 2 but can’t do anything from there. On the rare occasion I can get it to move to another page, I can’t get anything to work when I touch an icon. I’ve restarted it multiple times and charged it to see if either of those would help but nothing changed.

My Versa 2 will not swipe either.  I can't restart it because I can only access the home screen.  Last night, I had the watch on and it did not record any information, but has been tracking me on my phone all day.

My Versa 2 has worked perfectly for one month. Two days ago I started having issues, coincidentally so did my brother who has a versa 2 that's about 3 months old.

The first thing that happened was I couldn't turn off my timers (which I use a lot) They wouldn't respond to touching the check mark. That was a few days ago... I just ignored.

Then watch was swiping slowly or not responding... ignored

Yesterday it wouldn't swipe. I had to try 10-20 times to get in one swipe. I reset it using the button on the side. No change VERY difficult to swipe and unusable. But the watch face would turn on and it was measuring steps.

I read I had to reset it by getting to the "about" menu in the "settings" menu. I tried yesterday but couldn't get past the first right swipe. Today I sat down for about 25 minutes. Yes 25 minutes to SLOWLY make it to the settings menu... it would time out, half swipe... I was about to give up, but FINALLY I got to the settings, then about 5 minutes to swipe down to "about"

(If you've tried it you know what I mean, sometimes it doesn't register your swipe, but if you swipe too much it hangs, so you have to find this slo mo swipe and p a u s e then slo mo swipe... it's like you have to slow down to the speed it's processing at)

THEN I made it to 'Hard Reset' I tapped it, it lit up.... nothing. Then I would tap it and nothing... I waited about 30 seconds, slow tap, nothing, tap again, it lit up!!... then again nothing... about the 5th time I was able to tap it abouit 30 seconds later, "confirm to hard reset" ... again about 5 taps....

Hard reset

Set it back up again and ... and .... it works, but it is all laggy. Nothing like when I first set it up. The only thing that has changed is daylight savings time.

So the fact that You, my brother, and my versa 2 started acting this way is enough for me to say they are not isolated cases. I am going to return mine and see if another one works. I love my versa 2, but it is not the same watch it was just a few days ago!!

I guess I will use the manufacturer warranty, it is one year. I will edit this post with any info about that too.

I changed the clock face to one that is always on and it fixed my problem, but now I have to charge my watch more often.  I think the last Versa update messed up some of the functionalities of clock faces, like what to do when you swip.

I am having the same issues with my Versa 2. It won't swipe at all.
