Versa 2 won't sync anymore with the Fitbit app

For about a week now, the app hasn't connected to my phone. It won't sync and has a notification that says "to sync reliably, let Fitbit connect to your versa 2". I've clicked the notification and it just loads. I let it load for 5 minutes and gave up. I deleted the Fitbit app several times, restarted my phone, restarted the Bluetooth, connected and unconnected it, and nothing will work. The versa is a few years old. Is it time to replace it or is there a way to fix it?

Hi there, @h1afer. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is still not syncing with the Fitbit app despite the steps you've tried so far. Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this issue before reaching out. I will do my best to help you with this!

In addition to the steps you've done so far, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I've posted a similar comment.   I was first told by Fitbit customer support that they were in the process of updating firmware and it would be pushed out for the V2 in a few days.   When the update came through my device still would not pair to the Fitbit App.  I've updated my iphone.  I've updated the App, I've restarted them multiple times and unpaired, etc.

Basically, the update they rolled out made my 2-year-old device obsolete.  I will not replace it with another  Fitbit.

I've done all this multiple times -and in the order you've directed.   The app simply will  not link to my device either.

Good luck
