Versa 2 won’t track run/bike GPS if the app is not open.

My versa 2 will not stay connected to GPS if I close the app during a bike or run. Any help?

This was an issue that I reported at iOS release 3.24 but was corrected at release 3.25 and is still working at iOS release 3.27, at least for me and a few others that I know of. Connected GPS functions as long as the app is in memory - doesn't have to be in the foreground and the screen can be locked.

 

If you are running iOS what release are you on?

 

If Android, maybe someone else can assist/

I had this happening to me as well. I found via another app that "power optimization" (galaxy S21) would stop syncing my phone with other devices. If I turned this off, I finally had success tracking in bike mode (well once so far). If using an iphone there maybe a similar option.
