Versa 2 won't update

Just bought a Versa 2 watch, sat it up a couple of days ago, and transferred my data. It says it is updated when I go to the app but when I try to download some clock faces it says I am not updated. I have version 3.43.1. How can I fix this, please?

Hi there, @Goldangel2. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post.

Since you have just setup your Versa 2 it may appear up to date but it needs another update. The latest update isn't available until up to 48-72 hours after setup. As you have let us know, your  Versa 2 shows version 70.7.14 but the latest one is 72.1.9. For more information, see What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?

If you've waited longer than 72 hours, Id recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa 2 to see if this allows you to upgrade your watch to the latest version. Before doing this step, please make sure to sync your Versa 2 to your Fitbit app so all your data is sync and up-to-date. Nevertheless, take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

With that being said, follow the steps below to complete the factory reset:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Once the above has been done, please allow your watch 48 hours to see if the update is available and ready for you to download.

Marre, you sayd the latest one is 72.1.9. I suppose its 35.72.1.9.

Mine says it has 35.72.1.15. so I guess it's even higher. (because 15 is higher than 9)

Nevertheless it doesn't update (or downdate 🤔, is that even a word? ).

The fitbit app on android says the firmware version is 35.72.1.9.  (Confused? You won't be after this episode of ...)

After serveral tries, also with reset and  bluetooth and power supply (over 80%),  it keeps coming back with the red andreas-cross.

So should I now do a factory reset and put is "back" from .15 to .9 or is there something we don't know.

I can't get a complete list of firmware updates and there date of release.
