Versa 2

I have to say I'm very disappointed with my Fitbit versa 2 and their customer service. I just bought the watch a few days ago. When I try to add the SPO2 clock face it says not available after I click on the clock face. I call customer service and they are useless. I thought maybe I needed a more updated firmware on it, but the customer service rep had no clue what I was talking about. There was a huge language barrier I couldn't understand her and she couldn't understand what my problem is. She seemed totally clueless on the product. At one point she said well if you don't see the clock face on there that means you don't get it, I said I do see the clock face just when I click on it it says not available, that's what I've been trying to tell you for the last 10 minutes. Then Then she said well not everybody who has the versa 2 gets the SPO2, and you never know what one you're going to get. She also said it wasn't available to everyone in the US.  I told her I live near a big metro area In the midwest, so I should get it. Then she said well that's just what I'm supposed to say according to the information I'm reading. So I hung up with her and called again thinking I might get somebody with more of a clue, but no I didn't. So if you want to bang your head against the wall a few times, call Fitbit customer service. Why advertise that it's part of the benefits of the watch if not everybody can get it. They should specify that and have a way you can find out before purchase.

Hi, you are right you need a newer version of the firmware than comes with the watch to install an SpO2 clock face. This may turn up automatically in a few days when syncing with the Fitbit App.

However, an SpO2 face will most likely disappoint because it will reduce battery life by about 2 days and it only gives you a single reading per night and limits the choice of good clock faces you can choose from (in the gallery) and sometimes you don't even get the one reading.

A possible better solution is to spend $20 on a Bluetooth Oximeter which you can use anytime. See example

Furthermore if your watch is working fine, before installing any firmware updates always check on here what the updates will do to your watch and any possible consequences.

Thank you for the information, the update finally came through this morning. I checked and now it is available. I only plan on using the SPO2 clock face every other night.  Then switching to the other one the rest of the time. Thanks again, I was pretty frustrated.
