So my Fitbit Versa 2 didn’t like me swimming in it once the warranty had run out. Don’t know if I’m just unlucky or if this is a common problem? Not sure whether to risk another Versa 2 or if the Versa 3 is better made for swimming? Anyone got a good experience for the 2?

Hi @Noy_ - if you look in the forums you will find screens becoming detached or water getting in with both models, possibly more with 3.
Another Versa 2 is probably the best choice, especially as you are already familiar with it and it's meeting your needs.
While it is under warranty you can always take it back to where you bought it for replacement if it happens again. Warranty is 1 to 2 years depending on country law.
After that avoid getting it wet.

@Noy_ I have a Fitbit Sense and I've showered with mine every single day and I have a chlorine pool at my house and swim with my Sense almost every day. I haven't had any issues, but of course you should only do what you're comfortable with.
I, personally, would avoid taking the watch into salt water. My Sense has been splashed with salt water when visiting the beach, but I didn't actively swim or snorkel with it on.
