My battery only lasts 24 hours at most. The watch is 3 years old.. is this right?

Hi @Foxy-foxy - it depends on which features you have enabled and how you use your watch and if there was a sudden change.

Things to check, though they might not all apply to your watch, How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life. 

Also it may be good to do a sync and full Shutdown from the watch Settings, About menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it. It will remove any things that might have gone astray.
