Versa 3 ECG App

I specifically bought the Versa 3 today because I read that I could detect Afib. Well, I've spent my entire evening, creating more stress, trying to figure out how to install the ECG app. I'm reading in this community and in other places on online that it is not yet available on the Versa 3??!!! Totally misleading advertising if that's the case!! I'm so irritated and I'm supposed to be managing my stress!

Is that true?? If it is going to be rolled out eventually to the Versa 3, will it just all of a sudden appear?? How will I be notified that it's available?

The update will be rolled out over a few weeks usually, I take it you are in the US, as that is the only area that it will be coming out for now.

Hello @RebaS and welcome to the Community.  First, let me clarify something about Fitbit's new feature coming to the Versa 3 and eight other devices.  It is an Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification that uses the optical heart rate monitor (green LEDs).  I haven't received this feature, but a user who just got it had a banner on their mobile dashboard announcing it.  It is NOT an ECG.  The ECG app records a 30 second ECG and is only available on the Sense and Charge 5.

@TrickyDeeis correct that it will take weeks to roll it out to all US users with compatible devices.

@RebaS the Versa 3 does not have the ability to read ECG. As @LZeeW mentioned the Sense and Charge 5 do have ECG and able to, on demand, check for AFIB.

This new AFIB detection only works at night and when the user is still, without intervention of the user.

Yes, I understand but that is contrary to the advertisements. I was further told it will be rolled out to the Versa 3s. So does that mean I have to buy a new one or will some update appear???

@RebaS   This isn't contrary to the advertisements.  I believe you are confusing the ECG and the Irregular Rhythm Assessment.  The Versa 3 will get the Irregular Rhythm Assessment and it is rolling out to US users now.  I haven't received it yet, but I saw an image of what it looks like.  It's a big pink banner, like your step streak banner.
