Versa 3 Exercise App Crashes On Launch

There were a couple other topics that seemed somewhat related but with no answers, so decided to open a new one.

As of this morning, when I try to open the exercise app on my Versa 3, it just instantly crashes and goes back to the main screen.  It worked correctly yesterday as I used it for a run.

Things I've tried to no avail:

  • Restarting my Versa 3
  • Changing the clock face
  • Checking for firmware (the Fitbit app doesn't say there are any updates)
  • Turn off my Versa 3 for 10 minutes and then turn it back on

The firmware is: 36.128.6.17

Oh I also tried other apps on my watch and they open properly.  I tried:

  • Timer
  • Alarm
  • Spotify
  • Weather

Am I missing something here?  Any help would be appreciated.

The exercise app still wasn't working for the entirety of yesterday and then by this morning my Google Assistant setup also stopped working, no matter how many times I reconnected the Bluetooth or restart the phone/watch.  I decided something must be up with it's setup and though I don't know how it happened, a factory reset might be the only option.  I bit the bullet and did a factory reset and after all the setup process and customizing it again to my liking, everything seems to be working again.  Fingers crossed it stays that way.
