Versa 3: Physically disable counting floors?

Hello there,

After having the 2nd Versa 3 counting too many floors I want to render this thing physically unable to count floors. Which hole is the altimeter hole? I want to seal it forever.

I already tried to close all holes with tape but it only reduced the over-counting not eliminate it.

Looking at it from the back:

1) Top-Left side small hole

2) Bottom-right side small hole

3) Left side medium size hole (microphone?)

4) Left side long cutout (speaker?)

Thank you.

@mkl40   Your floor count doesn't contribute to calorie burn.  I can't quote a Help article, but there are discussions here in the Community as far back as 2014.  Also, three current Fitbit trackers don't have the altimeter at all.  I'm sorry that you are having the same experience with two different devices.  My advice is just remove the floor icon from your mobile app.

I don't know ow which hole it is, but it seems a lot easier to me to just not ever look at the floors it counts. Where I live all fitbit's count way too may floors due, I think, to our very variable weather. I have just learnt not to look at the floor count.

Thanks, but I think the floor count affects burned calories. At least when it counted more than 150 floors per day the total calories for that day were much higher, which messes with my CiCo quite a bit.

Through some testing I found out that the left big part is all speaker and the bottom right hole is the microphone. I now stuffed the top left one but it's still counting floors.

Not being able to disable floor counting if one wants to is just frustrating, on top of the device malfunctioning...

Thanks, I contacted support and asked if floors contribute to the counted calories and they said they do not. So I just disabled the display of floors in the app.
