Versa 3 Tracking Crochet

While I’ve seen people say crochet makes their step count high, in my case, it’s the heart rate and zone minutes. Since heart rate tracking is one of the things I like it for, I was wondering if there was a way to wear it that my wrist motions won’t cause the issue. And for those who don’t know, both wrists do a slight twist through the activity so switching wouldn’t bear a difference. I feel like being able to report these instances to FitBit might shed some light on making these devices ‘smarter’ for idle but repetitive hobbies. This and the Versa 3’s annoying habit of coming on in the shower. I take warm, not hot, showers (so bad for skin anyway) and am careful of soaps and such, but I’d love to toggle a water lock for the screen. I remove it and clean and dry it after but I like to track heart rate as often as possible to see what different tasks are reading at so I like to keep removals to charging and as short as possible otherwise, minding skin and hygiene.

Hi there @KitaCat, it's good to see you around in the Community.

I appreciate you share your experience. I'd recommend you have the latest Fitbit Firmware and OS of your mobile device, then restart your device.

Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to track movement. Our finely-tuned algorithm interprets the data from the accelerometer to provide tracked data. When you sync your device, your data appears in the Fitbit app.

For activities tracked check these articles, How do I add, edit or delete Fitbit data and activities? How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device? and How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?.

Regarding Hear Rate tracking and Active Minutes check these articles, What are Active Zone Minutes or Active Minutes on my Fitbit device? and How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device?.
