I’ve had my Vera 3 for 10 months and all of a sudden I’ve gone from having to charge the watch every 4 days to nearly twice a day. I’ve turned off notifications made sure always on display is still off but with no activity the battery’s dying after about 18-hours from a full charge. That’s without me actually doing anything with the watch other than checking the time. What can I do

Hi there, @JackieMoon1875. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Versa 3 is draining quickly. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this!
Please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%. Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).
To better assist you, please confirm if you've tried all tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hi.
thanks for your response. Yes I have tried all these and usually I do keep the battery topped up once I get to 25%. However on a recent work trip I left my charger and the battery fully discharged. Now I’m lucky if I get between 12 and 16hours battery life.

I started having this exact issue yesterday. I was previously charging my Fitbit Versa 3 perhaps twice a week, been doing so with no change since I got it in late 2022. I woke up yesterday morning having charged to 100% before bed, it was at 13% when I woke up. Charged it to 100% at 8am, it died completely by 6pm, and I ONLY used it as a watch during that time, no payments, audio controls, or gps usage at all. Charged to 100% and put it back on last night at 9pm, woke up this morning to 8% battery remaining. Was a firmware update pushed in the last week or so? This is not a battery issue as there was no degradation before this sudden death.
