Versa 3 battery issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Versa 3 died (with a full charge) and the side button is missing.  There’s just a small narrow indentation where the button used to be.  What happened?   Now sitting on the charger and getting very hot!

Hello @kelad .  The Versa 3 doesn't have a physical button.  Fitbit calls that indentation a haptic button.  The device vibrates when you push there.  Nevertheless, any device (phone, fitness tracker, etc.) that gets hot on its charger should be removed immediately and you should not use it.  Please contact Support for more help.

Hi there, @kelad. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Since your Versa 3 is getting hot, please follow @LZeeW's suggestion as the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

While you reach out to our team, please do not try charging or restarting your watch anymore until you receive assistance from our Support Team.

On a side note, to use the button on your watch, press the entire button sensor, where you see the indentation. You’ll feel your watch vibrate. You may have to experiment to find the best position. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

We look forward to getting you back on track.

Thank you, the haptic button felt so real that it fooled me.
