Versa 3 features on Versa 2?

The launch info for Versa 3 says that it includes "Pure Pulse 2.0", and that Google Assistant is coming "late 2020".  Will these features be available to Versa 2 via firmware update? 

 

Hoping that at least Google Assistant will be available, as this should be addressable in software.  But the press release for the recent announcements says "Fitbit’s new PurePulse 2.0 technology, with an all-new multi-path heart rate sensor and updated algorithm, delivers the company’s most advanced heart rate technology yet."  This makes it sound like there is a hardware component to PurePulse 2.0.  Hoping there is someone from Fitbit who can clarify.

I believe their upgrade roadmap for past watches is to have you buy the new one after it stops working after a year.
