I need help unfreezing my Versa 3 screen on wrist. I have never seen this on the face and there appears a small white lock on screen.

To better assist you, would you mind giving more details about the white lock screen you mentioned? Does it say a message or error message? In the meantime, please restart your Versa 3 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
If the above doesn't help and you see a message saying "Unlock with your Phone", see How do I unlock my Fitbit device with my Phone?
