Versa 3 is losing time

I have had my Versa 3 for a few months and I'm not happy at all. I will check the time and not realize that I'm 5 to 10 minutes off the actual time. This has happened randomly 4 times so far where my watch time has been wrong. I've been late to appointments because of it. Also, I can never connect to GPS. I have to use an app on my phone instead because the Versa 3 is so unreliable. I couldn't be more unhappy. Any advice or should I just trash it?

Hi there, @Jobiegirl. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.

Please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with. To make sure your watch has recently synced, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.

If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If the time on your Fitbit device is still incorrect after syncing, make sure the time zone setting is correct. For more information, see How do I change the time on my Fitbit device?

If none of the above works for your, I recommend changing your time zone to a completely different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again.

Regarding the GPS, please note that if you're in a new location farther away from where you normally run, it may take a few minutes to connect.

With that being said, I'd like to know if you've recently changed your normally location? How long do you wait for the GPS signal to connect? If you've noticed it's less than 5 minutes, please let your watch try to connect for at least 5 minutes before cancelling the exercise. Your Versa 3 will continue to try connecting and you can go about your run.

Also, for more information, see Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

I haven’t changed my run locations. I wait longer than 5 min and then start the run hoping it will find gps while running. It rarely does and if it does, it quickly loses it again.
