I've recently changed from having an inspire hr for 2 years and upgraded to the versa 3, I've noticed a big difference in the calorie count between the two devices, my inspire hr records a 40 minute walk I do regularly as around 280 cals, however when doing the same walk today the versa has recorded it as 54 cals...does anyone know which is the reliable figure and why such a dramatic difference?

Hi there, @R34579. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3. I understand where your concern is coming from.
By any chance, did you recently update your profile settings such as height, weight, age etc)? If you did, I'd double check your personal information to see if your weight and height were properly set, it may worth the try. To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?
Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned.
Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.
Hope this helps.

My weight had changed but that was updated last week whilst still using the inspire HR and there was a change in calories burned but only slight which is how it should be but dropping from around 280 cals to 54 cals for the same activity, even with different factors impacting performance, it shouldn't be such a difference? I thought the versa 3 would have been more accurate than the inspire hr but I'm concerned that may not be the case...

@R34579 Before considering other options, would you mind double checking your height and weight, please?
Thanks for your understanding.
