When will the floors tracking be corrected? And when will customer service be improved? I’ve contacted Fitbit multiple times for an issue with my floor count be grossly inaccurate. Some days my Fitbit has 100+ when in reality I haven’t done any. Customer service has literally been zero help. They even left a chat without notice. This issue started 5 months after I bought my Fitbit and was still in warranty. Next watch I get will definitely be an Apple Watch. I would like to leave a product review and also can’t find a place to do that. I used to love Fitbit, now not so much.

@MarreFitbit it is worthy to remember that the bug has been introduced via a firmware update and it's effectively a regression.
Now there are two hypothesis:
1) Fitbit developers do not use any CVS or GIT system to keep tracking of the code changes so they can't recall the previous version to be able to fix the bugged code. I would rule out this possibility because even beginners do that but still it's a possibility
2) there is no willing to fix it effectively leaving the users at their own. If correct then it's not correct to state that "Fitbit may not be able to fix the bug in the immediate future" , rather something along the line of "Fix is not willing to fix the bug so don't have any hope". This would be harsh but honest.
So what is the truth?
And please do not delete my post because in violation of your guidelines because here there is no violation, just the real sentiment that the greatest part of your users feels and manifest. Thanks for your understanding.

@MarreFitbit - could you please give us more precise details of what is being done to fix the floor count.
A year seems like s very long time to fix a bug introduced by a firmware update.
@Rufous44 is correct to ask - Can it be fixed, will it be fixed and if so how much longer do users have to wait?
Having trolled the forums there seems to be many users reporting the problem and even getting replacement watches which of course is pointless if it is s firmware problem.

I too am getting ridiculous floor count. what is the point of a counter that can not count.
It's like having a watch that tells you the wrong time.
This needs fixing. Saying that we are aware of the problem and are monitoring the impact of users is the same as Saying that you have no intention of fixing the problem. I am not happy about this response. If its broken then it needs fixing.

@MarreFitbit Well I’m confused as to why some people have the issue and others don’t. Also, why was I never offered a replacement during any of the other times I’ve chatted with customer service. Only 5 months before having issues with a $200+ defective watch with zero solution seems unacceptable to me.

I agree! Mine started doing the same thing about a year after purchase. I contacted customer support and I was by all rights blown off! This is my 4th fitbit over the years and I'm in total agreement. Looks like Apple or Garmin. The customer support is AWEFUL!!
