Versa 3 keeps loosing time

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have recently upgraded from a Blaze to a Versa 3.

I sync the new Versa 3 with my iPhone most days.

The new Versa 3 can loose up to 30  minutes between syncing.

I have have returned the Versa 3 factory settings and reinstalled the software.

The Versa 3 is still loosing time.

Should I have the device replaced under warranty

Hi @Bjg55 - with the troubleshooting steps you have done if it is still losing time then it is faulty or isn't syncing.

Try resting both watch and phone and sync again, and follow whether it loses more than a few seconds between syncs.

Preferably return it to where you bought it as you may get a new one as opposed to a refurbished one from Fitbit direct.

Hi there, @Bjg55. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from. @Guy_ Thanks for your help!

While reading your posts above, I was wondering if you did remove your old Blaze from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings?

It seems that your Versa 3 cannot connect properly to your Fitbit app since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your old Blaze and the phone's Bluetooth which would explain the connectivity issues you're running into. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 and Blaze from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

Hope that helps.

There is no problem syncing my Versa 3 with my iPhone.
The Versa 3 sync’s correctly and gets the correct time and uploads all data.
The Versa 3 looses time in between syncing.

Hello

there seems to be a problem with the Versa 3 watch.  If the button on the side is pressed for 8 sec the watch restarts as per design.
however if slight pressure is applied to centre of the watch screen it activates the side button and restarts the watch after 8 sec.  Folding arms seems to be enough pressure to cause a reset.
Is it a faulty watch or a manufacturer issue????

@Bjg55  - a long press on the screen centre should bring up the clocks app.

Try swiping the face to the left and click on clocks, if those work normally it could be a watch fault.

However to make sure contact Fitbit via the app, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.
