Versa 3 keeps restarting itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I held down the button to restart my Versa 3.  It is now only bringing up the logo for a few seconds and then crashing.  This has repeated for over 10 hours now (trying to restart for about 10 seconds and then crashing).  Might need to wait days until it runs out of batteries???  I put it on the charger last night and it continued all night.

I manually restarted it because the exercise app wasn't opening.

Hi there, @FCrunnerYNWA. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Please note the issue you're having (the Fitbit logo) comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If your Versa 3 keeps crashing, please note that you might unintentionally press the button on your watch when you bend your wrist. This may happen during activities such as a workout that require you to move your wrist a lot. That being said, please try wearing your watch higher on your wrist to avoid hitting the button. For tips on how to wear your watch, see How do I wear my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, my Fitbit never gets to a point where I can interact with it.  Every 5-6 seconds, It pulls up the logo for a few seconds and then crashes ... logo then crash ... logo and then crash.  I'm never able to try to connect or anything.  It is stuck in a loop.
