Versa 3 lost data

Data from Sunday 5 Nov, Monday 6 Nov and Tuesday 7 Nov is missing. Data from previous days and today all accounted for in app and dashboard. 🤷‍:female_sign:. Nothing different has occurred. Watch was alerting me on these days to goals and steps but now all that data is missing. Also missing from the dashboard. Battery charged. App working, Bluetooth sync slow but working. Logged out and in. Reset watch. Reinstalled app. Did a little dance……nothing.

Hi @Jlmurphy12 - while you were dancing did you restart the phone too?!

The new app has problems syncing and if it doesn't sync properly then the information will be missing in the app.

If you factory reset the watch this will remove all non synced data. If on the other hand you just restarted it with the button the information should still be available. The watch can keep up to about 4 days of all information, after that only essential information [like steps] is kept.

😂
the app did sync the Wednesday’s data and the previous Sunday. It’s those 3 days in the middle that are lost which is odd.

no factory reset.

@Jlmurphy12- yes it is odd, but when you logout of the app it is important to swipe off the active window and in Android to clear the Fitbit app storage cache and force stop it before restarting the phone and the watch again, that might recover the data that is not showing - you can also log in to the web dashboard to check if the data was actually uploaded or not.

Yep. Did as you suggested. Nothing. The dashboard is t showing any data either despite the watch achieving (and acknowledging- those fun vibrates😂)  goals on each of those days….

When I try to manually add steps in the app I can not for those same dates. Weird.

@Jlmurphy12 - unfortunately the new Fitbit App has many issues. Have a look in posts in "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!" topic in the  iOS or Android app forums where you will see more fully the issues.
