I have changed to the Google log in for my Fitbit app. Data wasn't appearing in the app to show my steps etc. I have tried a number of options to fix this and each one makes things worse. My Versa 3 will no longer pair with Bluetooth on my phone, saying that an app is required. I removed the device from the Fitbit app and downloaded the app again. Still no joy. When I try to add my device into the Fitbit app it gets as far as pairing with the code which I put into the app and it states 'connecting', then comes up with a message that setup is taking longer than expected. Then it times out and takes me to a screen titles 'Not Working?' which offers turning off Bluetooth and turning on again, restarting my device or contact Customer Service.
I have tried turning off and on Bluetooth, restarted my device, numerous times!! but it has not resolved issue.
I believe that my watch version needs to be updated so I don't know if that's the problem but due to the above I can resolve it even if it is the issue.
I tried to do the live chat with customer service but that doesn't work, no pop up screen.
I now have a Versa 3 that may as well go in the bin and it's only 6 months old.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Just an FYI, after reading further posts I have accepted defeat and factory reset my watch.
It sounds as though the suggested fixes from customer service (congratulations to those that actually managed to contact them!) have not been successful for others and I did read that seemed that the only fix is to reset the watch.
Thanks Fitbit, super unimpressed customer, and this will certainly make me consider other fitness watch companies for future purchases. I definitely wont be recommending Fitbit to anyone.

I am having all of the same issues. Only think that has worked (until battery gets low) is Uninstall the Fitbit app on my phone, reinstall, then add a new device. I believe I need to update my device also but can't find how I do it.
