Versa 3 not receiving text messages

I have successfully paired my new Versa 3 but it won't receive texts. It receives all other notifications from apps. Both Versa 3 and Versa 3 Controls show up in my device settings.

you need to have your watch very close to your mobile phone, that is the way to get txt message

It is the same for me. Messages will not come through at all even when the watch is right next to the phone. My husband bought me this as a birthday present because this is the one I said I wanted and now I'm just extremely disappointed. This is not the only issue I am experiencing.

I am having the same issue, but I am not receiving any notifications from any apps.  I have restarted my fitbit, disconnected it from my account and set up a "new" watch again, and I have done everything in the troubleshooting page.  Nothing seems to work.

Go to actual messenger setting on iPhone and make sure notifications are set to always

Thank you! I ended up having to reach out to support and I finally figured it out. You have to have preview set to always or when opened. They must have changed their settings because it used to be ok to have preview off (I’ve had my preview off for 6 years and Fitbit for only 5 and has only recently - maybe 1 year - has my notifications not worked).

UPDATE:  I spoke to Fitbit tech support and they stated that this is a known issue and they are working on a resolution.

I just bought a brand new versa 3 and it syncs but will not receive any notifications on my fitbit. Im about to take it back! Same. Im about to return my versa 3 that I just bought. Me either.

Hey, have you guys been able to fix this in the meantime? I have the same problem and kept restarting my smartphone, the app and the Versa 3. Every now and then it worked for 30 minutes and then suddenly it stopped working.

Hi Alejandra, it is the problem solve? Because, when my mobile conects to the versa 3 controls, fails de connection to the calls. 

How can I do, to solve this??
