Versa 3 screen scratched

Hi,

Has anyone else had issues with their Versa 3 screen scratching very easily?

In the first 2 days of wearing mine I was walking through a door and my watch lightly hit the wall. I now have a nice 1cm scrape in the centre of my screen.

Anyone have any advice on how to polish this out?

Hi there @uistger, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your Versa 3's screen, I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling. Thanks for the photos attached to your post.

Since this sounds a bit more serious, I've created a support case on your behalf - you should receive an email from Customer Support at the email you used to register with the Community forums. Note that we may take a bit long to get back to you since due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.

We hope your issue is solved soon.

Hi Marre,

Thank you for raising that. Although the support email said they would gladly assist, the next line said they are not going to.

Does anyone in this community have any tips  on reducing the visability of scratches on the “Corning Gorilla Glass 3” screen?

I would try using a screen protector with a liquid buffer such as armorsuit shield...

this might hide the scratch.

These things scratch if you sneeze on them. I just got mine for Christmas and four days later I have giant scratches across the front. I have never had any kind of a device get scratched like this. I am very gentle with everything I own. Like you I contacted customer service and they told me to go hang myself. I am incredibly disappointed.

I had my mom buy this for me as a Christmas gift because I wanted to upgrade from my charge three, and she was so excited to get me something special that I don’t have the heart to tell her it’s ruined four days later with no warranty support. These things are not fit for normal people to wear, you have to keep them wrapped in cotton apparently. Every time I look down at my wrist I get more furious.

Hi, Just to add my few cents.

Me and my friends had 3 of them watches, all of them easily scratched after few days to first month of use, just today my one (few weeks old) got heavily scratch on a WOODEN door frame!

Fitbit says its gorilla glass!

My phone has gorilla glass, I had it for over almost 2 years and I toss it with keys in my pocket, never seen such deep scratches happening, not so quickly and not at mare bump on a wooden material.

This is nonsense.

I strongly think that this is not any gorilla glass at all, just a marketing lie.

With this watch been my first fitbit, it will be my last smartwatch from this company and I wont recommend it to anyone.

My mate has a 80£ huaweii watch for over a year and glass on his watch still looks good!

The same thing happened to me. Don't even know how mine got scratched. My watch fell 2 days ago because of the band. I've been promised a new band but no care or replacement for my device. Its still under warranty only 6months old and I've taken a 4 year extended guarantee out. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it and worth the money. I spent so much to have a reliable watch. My battery also needs charging every 4 days not 6.

Mine is cracked and is only 3 weeks since it was bought.  Was not dropped or banged into anything.  The Versa 3 is not a good device.  First time I've had an issue with any of my many Fitbit devices.  Customer support offering 35% discount on a new device!  Ridiculous! If they don't resolve this I will be switching to Apple
