My versa 3 is stuck on the clock screen. I cannot swipe or get onto anything. I have tried restarting numerous time while connected to charge and not. I have tried changing the clock screen. Double tapping to get onto the quick menu which pops up but is also locked so you cannot get into anything. Please advise, I really haven’t had this for long enough for it to have so many problems.

@LKsharp Thanks for trying the steps I've recommended.

As our last resort, I suggest performing a factory reset on your Versa 3 by following the steps below:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
  3. After the screen turns off, you’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration.
      2. After you feel the vibration, release the button.
        • This vibration indicates you started the factory reset.
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

As for the battery drain, if your Versa 3 is stuck on always-on display mode, that would explain why the battery is draining too quickly.

Hi there, @LKsharp. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before posting here. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Please check if your Versa 3 is not set on "Always-On" as this feature will only show you the time on the main screen all the time, unless you press the button of your watch to see other features and stats. If Always-On is enable, to exit this mode, turn your wrist toward you, press the button, or double-tap the display. For more information, see How do I see the time on my Fitbit device?

On a side note, please confirm that you've restarted your Versa 3 as instructed here.

Hope this helps.

I am not able to get into anything. The watch doesn’t allow me to open any settings or swipe anything. It also only holds charge for about 14 hours.

Hello there, @Spider1959. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Fitbit device.

Please note this issue comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, I suggest following the steps below in the order listed (or making sure you've done them as instructed):

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.

If you can't get started with your Versa 3, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
