Versa 3 stopped tracking my floors

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Versa 3 just over a year now and up until 4 days ago it was counting flights of stairs just fine (20+ a day) now it doesn't record them at all. My phone and Fitbit on the most recent updates. I've also factory reset my Versa 3 but it has made no difference. What else can I try?

Hi @MickyCo  - To be really certain it is not a problem with the Fitbit App or the current clock face, on the watch click on the Today app icon and see what floors say, if they are not shown, click EDIT and add the information to show.

There is a tiny hole on the side which may have got blocked. Do not stick anything in it as it will destroy the sensor, but try cleaning it very carefully. It may be necessary to restart it after the clean. See How do I clean my Fitbit device?

Hi there, @MickyCo. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post.

Please keep in mind that your watch tracks floors by measuring changes in air pressure through a small hole in the back of the Versa 3. If this hole becomes blocked then it can cause this problem. With that being said, please (as @Guy_ mentioned) try cleaning it with by following these steps: How do I clean my Fitbit device?

Nevertheless, please don't forget that Fitbit devices that count floors have a small hole (altimeter sensor) on the back of the device so please don’t insert any items, such as paper clips, into this hole as you can damage your device.

Hi @Guy_  and @MarreFitbit thank you for your advice. Yes it does show the floors on the today app (as 0). I gave it a gentle clean yesterday evening and restarted my watch but still no luck unfortunately. 0 flights recorded today. Anything else I can do please?

@MickyCo- carefully inspect the small hole on the opposite side to the button.

I'm having the same problem. Was working fine one day but the next nothing. It's been a week or more now. Getting so pissed.

I followed all your tips and today did a factory reset. Still not registering floors.

Hi @linlit - you can try the SimpleFloors app.

It shows how your watch is affected by environmental issues such as, going room to room, upstairs/downstairs, inside to outside, changes in temperature, etc.

If it is not registering pressure changes the sensor hole could be blocked or there is a watch fault or a fault in the firmware or it is simply necessary to restart the watch..

This app is meant for checking purposes as it uses the battery a lot, but at least it will give you an idea if your watch is fine or if it is some other issue.
