Versa 3 stops recording my swim activities

With the Verda 3 I’ve found that one in every 3 swims the watch just stops recording, so when I finish there is nothing to end!

this is particularly bad if the battery is less than 30%
what should I do?

Is your Versa 3 stopping recording all your activities or this is happening specifically only when you swim?

Please note that water lock turns on automatically when you start a swim in the Exercise app. For more information, see Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device?

Dear Moderator,

Its difficult to answer that as the only reason I bought it was for the
sleep monitoring and the swim.

The sleep monitoring works fine, it seems to also 'see' my walks, even
though I didn't start a program.

In general I start the exercise swim, wait for the waterlock to go away and
then start my swim.
But sometimes when ive finished there is nothing to close down, it already
thinks ive finished!

Any ideas?
