I turn my Versa 3 off overnight. For the last week I've noticed that the time is incorrect when I turn it on again in the morning. The time and steps carry over from the previous day.
I've tried turning my paired phone off and on again, clearing the cache from the app and restarting the watch. Nothing works. After about 30 minutes the time corrects itself. The time used to update automatically.

Hi. @Fxeldy , your Fitbit will need to sync with your phone or tablet in order to keep the time perfectly accurate and for your steps to post to your account and the numbers to reset. If you want to keep your Fitbit off over night that’s fine, but if you would like to use it immediately I would recommend that in the morning when you turn it on you also open your app and choose “sync now” in order to get everything up to date.
If you don’t automatically force a sync first thing in the morning, as you have noted it will sync and everything will up to date, but if you have not specifically accessed the app to force a sync, it may take a few minutes - even up to a half hour or so, as you have noted, before the automatic sync takes over.
The amount of time a Fitbit can stay accurate without syncing does vary according to the health of the battery and the age of the device. Newer devices might only need to be synced every few days, but devices like the Versa, which have many features that can take significant battery, do benefit from regular syncs, especially as they get a bit older.
If you want to keep your Versa off overnight I would recommend charging it first. Alternatively you could leave it plugged in since you are not wearing it. Although it is ideal to keep lithium batteries at a constant level between 20-80% charged, it is much better to keep it fully charged rather than allowing frequent deep discharge.
Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android
