Versa 3 won't restart

I shutdown my Versa 3 but when I went to restart it, is just shows the Fitbit logo and vibrates but nothing else happens. I have tried recharging it (it wasn't low on battery). Ive tried unpairing it from my phone, Have tried holding down the side button a number of times for 10 to 20 seconds at a time. All it is doing is showing the logo and vibrating every now and then.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Helenrnz - seems like the watch is in a poor way, try chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support. They can help you do a factory reset.

How odd.  Mine is doing the same too. It started Friday night.  I have tried everything and nothing has worked.

My Versa 3 did the same few days ago.  Tried everything and the watch just stuck with the logo display.  Please help .  Thank you.

This must have been an update that went out.  This is angering.  I just bought this one in June of 2021. I spoke to customer service to walk through a factory reset and nothing.  It just blinked the logo.  Considering I have Samsung everything this may be the catalyst to leave fitbit.  This is sad because I have had a fitbit since they came out with the clip on ones.

Hi @JC1997 , @aroarizona  - have a look in the forums, there are numerous instances where watches get stuck on the logo, or constantly are rebooting to the logo.

This may be due to a firmware update or a failed restart or factory reset, if you did one, or some other error condition whose source is still to become obvious.

Unfortunately only some can be got working again and chatting via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & Support, Contact Customer Support, is the best way to get a result, if one can be had, often involving a complete factory reset, but this is not always possible.

Yeah, this is definitely not the case for me.  I did call them, and nothing worked.  It still blinks.  It is still connected to my phone because I just charged it so it was registering a full battery.  Their only option was to offer me 30% towards a new one since it was past one year.

Chatted with Fitbit support, the lady on chat is very helpful and knowledgeable. After trying all the suggested fixed.  My Versa 3 still stuck with the Fitbit logo.  Same happened to me ~17 months ago on my Versa 2.  It was not able to restart.
As a long time fitbit user (> 8 years).  Fitbits used to be very reliable product and is the leader of the tracker/smart-watch manufacturer.  My recent experience with the Versa 2 & Versa 3 were disappointing. Both become unresponsive or stuck few months after the warranty expire.  Lead you think if just a coincidence , fitbit quality issue or just my bad luck.  The recent Versa 3 was just ~17 months old
Both times, fitbit offer me a discount coupon to purchase a new one, ( the discount is from the list price , however, fitbit does offer discounts form time to time).  Effectively, The price after the coupon is similar to the discounted price.  Effectively, I am buying an new item just at the current offer price.
I am seriously considering leaving the fitbit community for good, however, the fitbit apps is amount the best and I used to it.
Let me know if you think I should give up on Fitbits.

To restart your watch, press and hold the button for 10 seconds until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, and then release the button. Restarting your watch doesn't delete any data. Versa 3 has small holes on the device for the altimeter , speaker, and microphone.

Will

Mine died yesterday, $250 for 1-1/2 years use. I likewise was a long-time user, though on/off. I started with original clip on, went through a few of those as some cracked. 18 months ago bought the versa 3, now dead. Support walked through a few things to try last night, finally agreed, it's dead, sent 35% discount. I started using a MyZone Switch less than a week ago for a fitness challenge. It's more accurate for workouts, but doesn't do steps. Not planning on getting another Fitbit, or any other watch at this time. Will still stick with the MyZone for workouts. I also used the Fitbit for tracking bike rides, but have a Garmin for the bike that I used before I got the latest Fitbit. Unretiring the Garmin.

Yesterday there was a problem with the Fitbit app which seems it still hasn’t been resolved, I lost a lot of my data on the dashboard so I removed it from my phone & now I can’t set up the watch on the app but I’ve still got the info on my watch!
I spoke to CS this morning & he said they were trying to resolve the problem & once it’s done I would be able to set up the device, hope this helps

I've done that. Mine is stuck trying to reboot.. This is absolutely not right. All this money and this happens. I'm very very careful with mine. I've never even hit or bumped it.. And this is what happens?!?!

I'm ready to go to another system!
