Versa 3 won't sync and time is wrong

For the last 3 weeks or so,my Versa 3 has not been syncing and the watch is 25 minutes slow. I have turned off and on more than 6 times, I have also turned off and on the blue tooth, I have even tried to delete the device and to set up again but everything has failed!! What is wrong with my Versa 3.Please help

Hi there, @Conz. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 3 before reaching out. 

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried all tips and recommendations provided below in the exact same order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Once you manage to sync your Versa 3, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

Confirm that permissions for the Fitbit app listed above are allowed on your phone. Restart your phone. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. Note: Before you uninstall the app, verify that your phone is running a supported version of Android OS.

I also have this problem so I tried it but my versa 3 wont disconnect so I can’t unpair it

Hi Marre, Thanks for the advice. I have tried and tried and it still didn’t work.I have switched off and on my iPad Pro, disconnected everything on Blue tooth.I have also deleted the device on the Fit bit app. Then I turned everything on again. When I tried to SET UP the device again on the APP, it didnt work. (1) It did find the Fitbit watch (2) I did put in the e-digit number shown on the Fitbit watch..but then it tried and tried to connected…DID NOT CONNECT.Even though Blue tooth was on,even though the watch was less then a metre from my device. I put the IPad Pro next to the watch. I don’t use phone.I have always used IPad and it used to work. It is almost 4 weeks now and I have not been able to log in all the steps that I have taken. PLease HELP!! Thanks

it appears that this is happening to quite a few people including me, did anyone get a replacement Versa 3 when the Ionic stopped working and Fitbit had to admit it was a fault ?

I know u must be very busy with many enquires.  Have written to u lately and have not gotten a reply. I mentioned that I had tried everything u suggested and then some and still my Fitbit has not been sync.(it is over 5 week now) I am still getting a monthly deduction on the Fitbit Premium,it would be great if my watch works. PLEASE HELP!thanks
