Hi there, @SarahAqua. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 3.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Versa 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Versa 3.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 3.
  • Once your Versa 3 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

I noticed my Versa 3 had last updated the Fitbit app on August 2. Finally had a little time to work on it.

I started by uninstalling the Fitbit app, turning the phone off, waiting a minute, then turning it back on.

Once the phone was running again, I had the phone forget its Bluetooth connection to Versa3.

I reinstalled the Fitbit app from the Google Play store.

Turned the Bluetooth off and on on my phone.

Opened the Fitbit app and went into Settings.

Replaced the existing Versa 3 device with a new one that I was trying to set up.

Would not connect so even though my Versa 3 was at 49 % battery I charged it to full power. I reset my Versa 3 by holding the button down for 10 seconds until the logo appeared.

Rebooted the phone, turned the Bluetooh off and on again and then went back into Settings in Fitbit app.

This time it went all the way through the setup process and even had me plug in the four digit code to pair the device and the app.

This is where it comes up and says it didn't connect and to turn the Bluetooth off and on and try again.  If it doesn't work then contact Support.

I even tried the whole process again with the Versa 3 connected to power cable and still get the same message about contacting support.

I tried to get chat support but I get the message "Sorry about that.  Error: Error occurred while loading a Visualforce page.  Please email us if you need to get in touch.  When I click on the link for email us I get an error box that says "This content is blocked.  Please contact the site owner to fix this issue."

Edit: Performing a factory reset on my Versa3 allowed me to reconnect it. The setup process began after installing updates. I had to re-add my Fitbit pay card. I wasted over two hours trying to fix this problem, but it now seems to be working again.

Original post:

I am experiencing the same issue.

I have attempted to connect my Versa 3 with three different smartphones from distinct manufacturers - two Android 13 and one older Android 10. Out of these, two devices have never been paired with my Versa 3 before, and I have installed the Fitbit app for the first time on these phones.
I am unable to proceed beyond the pairing code stage: "Connecting..." "Not working? Try again." The last sync on my primary device was on August 15. However, after I removed the Versa from my devices, I am left with three phones that are unable to connect to my Versa 3. This is highly inconvenient.

This is it. The amount of time I’ve wasted trying to get my Versa 2 to sync with my phone is ridiculous! You have lost me as a customer! I’m moving to the Apple Watch. Today I can’t even force it to sync 😖

I had some more time over the weekend and I finally got my Versa 3 to sync.  I studied the post the moderator had made and realized the only two things I had not tried were "Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings." and "Force quit the Fitbit app.".  I did these two things and went into the Fitbit app to set up the Versa 3.  It went through the process and got back to the point where I was waiting for it to pair.  I walked away to get something because it was taking so long and when I came back I was amazed to find it had paired this time.  When I went to the home page in the app I saw a message at the top saying I need to click here to fix an issue that was preventing the Fitbit app from syncing with the Versa 3.  Clicking on the link took me to Location permissions.  Three permissions were listed but only the first one had been granted.  Once I had granted access to the other two permissions everything seems to be running as expected now.
