Versa 3 won't sync

Hi there,
I am requesting help on my mother's behalf. She has a Fitbit Versa 3 that won't sync to her phone. I've tried all the usual steps, but to no avail, so I have removed the device from the app and when trying to add it back, gets stuck on the 'enter 4 digits' section. My Versa 3 works fine and I tried to sync her Versa 3 with my phone (logged into her account), which didn't work either. Which leads me to believe that this is a problem with the watch, rather than the phone/app. Do you think you can help?
