Versa BPM not working correctly

My Versa BPM was working but after running out of battery and recharging the BPM is not working properly.  I have tried all of the fixes mentioned i.e. restart Versa by holding the back button and the two front buttons and resetting; tried restart; tried turning on and off the BPM setting.  The only thing I haven't done is reset to Factory settings.  Not sure I want to do that before checking with the community.

It might help if you could give more detail about how BPM "not working properly": symptoms, specifics.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

When it is reset it appears to be working fine.  Then after a few minutes, it will start recording high BPM like 135, then jump to 160, then back to 113 BPM.

No fixes worked.  My Fitbit was under warranty, should receive a new one in the mail today.
