Versa Firmware Update- Auto Sleep Mode Removed!?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi, just wondering if/why auto-sleep mode (which auto silences notifications when you are sleeping) has been removed?

Do I now have to manually enable and disable sleep mode every night and morning? Why remove this useful option? Can I enable auto-sleep mode another way?

OMG, literally on of the best features and it's gone. I was posting about this on Reddit earlier. It did such a good job auto detecting my sleep it was awesome and now it's gone. I do put my phone in DND when I sleep so using the always vibrate toggle in the app is an option, but when the phone is silent I still want some texts and reminders to come through during the day when I have it on silent for work. And I don't want to have to remember to hit griefa button, this is why I automate all my stuff, I'm busy and usually forget. Good grief please put this back!

I was just in "settings" and noticed you can click "sleep mode" and then an option for a schedule eg. 11pm to 7am comes up that you can set. Hope that helps!

It's ok,s that too, but my sleep is all over the place as for what time I'm up and down and this doesn't work very well for weekends where you might sleep in or be out late.

I'm in the exact same position ahent! Don't understand why Fitbit didn't keep it as an option. Those who the function, needed it and loved it.

The update overall I like, with the extra emotjis on replies and confirmation/undo ability when a reply is sent. Don't like the new quick access menu with music :musical_note:, wallet👛, and quick menu toggles. There should be an option to turn them off especially if you don't use Wallet and have quick menu/music mapped to the left button.

Spoiler
As far as the quick settings menu is concerned, there should be an option someplace in the app to put what you want on it that would be helpful. But the ability to remove it altogether or turn it off would be nice as well.

Agreed - a very useful feature for those of us with varying sleep schedules.

Cynically, maybe it'll make a return as a "premium" feature like those being introduced in the app.

Can someone from Fitbit please comment on the removal of this useful feature?

I checked the Feature Suggestion part of the site. The closest thing I found was this suggestion, which was listed as "released". If you'd like your voice heard by Fitbit developers, I suggest starting a new suggestion to bring this feature back.

I have to agree with this, it's definitely a step backwards. I mean who in the real world really has such a sleep routine that makes such a strict schedule useful.

Some morning's I get up at 04:30, others at 06:00 and sometimes even later. I've had to set my schedule to end at 06:00, otherwise if I set it at 04:30 it will wake me on my later mornings. This means that when I do get up at 04:30 my screen wake and notifications are then off until 06:00, which is also not ideal.
