Versa GPS connectivity issue

I am facing a connectivity issue of the Versa GPS with mobile phone. Have changed my mobile to check if the issue persist which is still there which is disappointing. Since the versa doesnt have an inbuilt GPS I carry it for the jog or cycling activity but the connectivity fails without recording most of the activity. My fitbit is still under warranty, need a solution to the problem.

What phone are you using?

 

If it's an android ensure the Fitbit app isn't subject to battery optimisation in your battery settings. Make sure it can run and use location in the background. 

 

Also turn off improved accuracy in the Google Location settings, phones don't need to scan for bluetooth or WiFi to know where they are.

 

I only found this out after spending days and many wasted runs playing with settings and mine now tracks with a Huawei Mate 20 Pro okay. Just the distance is way out despite the map being accurate.
