Versa Heart Rate sensor just stopped

I have had my Versa for 4 months and it worked fine until today.  Suddenly the heart rate went to zero and my calories burned dropped about 500 calories!  I'm reading that many people have the same problem.  I've deleted and reloaded the Fitbit App.  I've tried holding my thumb over the sensor for 10 seconds to see if the light comes back on.  Nothing is working.  Do I have to return it, and where do I send it?

@motherjoni A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Versa's heart rate sensor isn't working. Try restarting your Versa. After this change the heart rate to off, save and then turn it on and save again.

Let me know how it goes!

This doesn't work for me.  What do you mean by "Save"?  Like, go back to the home screen?

nvm.  It was showing in the app on my phone but not the clock face.  Apparently my clock was discontinued.  Downloading a new face solved the issue.  Would be nice to get a warning about such things.

This didn’t work for me... it’s not showing up on the app or watch... I’ve restarted and shutdown... is there anything else to do? It was working fine before I went on vacation last week.

I am having same problem, heart rate suddenly stopped working

rebooted many times, did factory reset as customer service recommends

it’s outside of warranty but less than 2 years old. Very disappointed in quality of this product. Have been an avid fitbit fan for years but do not want to spend $200 per year for low quality products. Now I see many with versa have had this same problem! Very frustrating as I don’t have the funds to replace this at this time!
