Versa Keeps saying “searching”

I am not able to update my versa. Last time it synced was in September.   I have put phone and watch together right next to my WiFi router.  Just keeps saying “searching”. Please help me so I can receive notifications again and keep track of weekly steps, sleep. Etc.
