I have a Samsung S9. My versa lite keeps telling me that I need to connect my phone through the bluetooth settings on my phone. When I go to bluetooth it says its paired.

Please help!!!

Welcome to the Forums @Kaykay89.

Thanks for bringing this up! Let me help you figure out what is going on. I will be moving this thread to the Versa and Versa Lite board as I think it is better suited for it.

In this case I'd like to ask what exactly is going. When are you getting this message? Are you trying to do something specific or it appears at random? Is your Versa Lite paired?

Look forward to your reply.

I am having the same issue, also with a Fitbit Versa Lite and a Samsung Galaxy S9. When I try to go to the music player it shoes this message.

My versa lite keeps saying connect phone through bluetooth when I press the left button. I go to bluetooth on my phone and it is allready paired. Also I have read and re read how to get notifications on my versa lite watch and when I swipe down it always says nothing new here , your all caught up! But I have never got any notifications showing up. Frustrated here. Ready to return it.

Hello @Salsgirl.

Thanks for your reply.

I'd like to ask if the situation has continued like that since your previous post? Or if it has started working correctly.

I look forward to your reply.

I get this message as well though unsure how to provide a screenshot of it. It literally says "Connect Phone" (in purple) and below it - Pair your phone in your settings app under Bluetooth.

It shows paired in my phone (LG Stylus 3) but doesn't work. I have unpaired it and tried pairing again but no difference.

I even saw a suggestion to have music playing when you try to use it but no difference.

I just found the fix. The problem is you really aren't paired when it shows paired. Here is what I did.

1. I went to Settings and changed the Bluetooth connection options to Pair.

2. In my phone's bluetooth section I did a search for bluetooth devices (even though Versa Lite is already listed).

3. It found Versa (Classic) and once that was connected, the music controls worked.

I wish there was a more convenient way to get the music controls showing when playing music as doing a long press and then swiping right isn't very quick.

how do you put a pic on here?  My watch says the same thing.  I have a Motorola phone.  when I hold the button and the pop up screen comes on, i slide it to the right and it says Connect phone. Pair your phone in your settings app, under Bluetooth.   When I go to my phone, settings app, Bluetooth, it says it is connected.

I've been having the same exact problem. I have a galaxy A50 and I just got my Fitbit today.. I can receive calls but not notifications or music. It keeps saying to connect to device. I really don't want to return this so I'm hoping someone could help please!

Did anyone find a fix for this issue, I had to return my Versa Lite as it started getting too hot and would not work. Received a replacement reconditioned one from Fitbit today but am having the problem where it says pair with app.

Already paired!
Restarted phone and watched and still not updating.

Help!
