Versa Lite Connection/syncing with new account

I was given my moms versa lite as she upgraded to something else, she deleted the device from her account and removed the versa lite from her Bluetooth connections, I have an iPhone X and it won’t connect to the versa lite, I’ve tried shutting off my Bluetooth and turning back on, tried turning on and off both my phone and the versa lite. The versa lite kicked into factory reset the one time I was restarting it so now it says “data not cleared sync and try again” however It’s already been deleted from my moms account and never got it connected to mine so I don’t know what to do!!

It doesn't sound like you set it up. Just turning on Bluetooth does not work

I did try setting it up through the app as I have previously used a Fitbit, when I went through the app it could not find the versa lite. So I had tried everything it told me to (restarting device, turning off and back on blue tooth, and making sure the device is charged)
